Core CPI rose 0.31% in September, slightly above estimates. The 12-month rate ticked up to 3.3%, from 3.2%, the first increase since March. The 6-month rate ticked lower to 2.6%, from 2.7%.

Headline CPI rose 0.18% with the 12-month rate falling to 2.4%, the lowest level since Feb 2021.
